Season V will be premiering shortly, and we'll be heading out to schools to find our next co-hosts for Learning in Limestone. If you attend a high school in the LDSB, and you have an interest in media, this may be the perfect gig for you. Audition dates will be shared with schools shortly or you can email Jane Douglas, Communications Officer with the Board.
Season IV co-hosts Nathaniel Trask, Maleah McDaniel, Sydney Van Camp and Andrew Molina had a great time visiting schools and reporting on the learning opportunities from across the Limestone District School Board.
Sincere thanks to these amazing videographers. Nathaniel and Maleah, we wish you all the best as you pursue post-secondary studies in Media and the Arts. Sydney and Andrew will be taking the Studio LC Focus Program in the fall, so you never know, they may be back to mentor new co-hosts for Season V. We hope to announce details about the show in September as we start a new school year.
Episodes air every Thursday morning during the CKWS-TV Morning Show with an encore presentation during The WS Daily at 5:20 p.m. If you miss it on Thursdays be sure to tune in Fridays at Noon to catch up.
The goal of Learning in Limestone is twofold: to showcase the Board’s educational programs and to provide a rich and authentic learning experience for the student host. Learning in Limestone provides our students with a cooperative education experience that allows them to experience broadcast journalism in a fast-paced, real-world environment. The LDSB values the importance of student leadership and the contribution our student leaders make to the learning process. Our role is to serve students, and there is no better way to serve students than to ensure they have a voice. This unique series is a co-production with CKWS-TV cable 10.
