The purpose of this library is to provide a wide-range of resources to support parents/guardians in supporting student learning at school. The Family Lending Library, a partnership with KFL&A Public Health, aims to provide a wide-range of resources to support parents/guardians and to support student learning at school. Public Health will house the library and administrate the distribution and collection of resources with schools. This library and its resources were made possible thanks to a Regional Parents Reaching Out (PRO) Grant received during the 2011-2012 school year.
The resource catalogue will continue to change as further resources are added, so please check back regularly. If you know of a resource that is not contained in the lending library that you think would be beneficial, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with your recommendation.
The catalogue is organized alphabetically by general theme (for example, Parenting or Special Needs). If you see a resource in the catalogue that you would like to borrow, please note the resource code number (for example A6 or G16). Once you are finished with the catalogue, please complete the lending agreement and submit your request for resources. Your request is submitted directly to KFL&A Public Health who will fill your order.
Resources can be withdrawn from the library for up to three weeks and will be sent to/from your child’s school via the internal Board courier. Your child’s school will notify you when the resource has arrived at the school for you to pick up, or for your child to bring home. Resources will be sent in a bag to ensure privacy. Once you are finished with the resource, or the three weeks have expired, simply return the resource(s) in the bag to your child’s school and it will be returned to the library. If you have any questions, please e-mail email@example.com .
