The Limestone Elementary School Athletics Association is the committee responsible for the
 inter-school sports programs in the Limestone   District School Board. This  page is intended
to make available to all elementary schools in the Limestone District information pertaining to
 all  inter-school sports in the district. For more information  on the organization and structure
 of LESAA please refer to the LESAA constitution.   Meet and tournament information, rules and
 regulations regarding the various events,  dates for events, news updates, district tournaments
 (divisions, dates, locations, conveners, results), as well as any other pertinent information
 for all sports will be available through this page.

You must register you runners online. Click here for instructions. Register a runner even if there is only a chance they may run. There will be no cash accepted at the meet. Schools will be billed for the number of runner they registered. Please bring a cheque for this amount to the meet or mail to LESSA c/o John Hall at the board office PRIOR TO THE MEET

No walkers/ joggers to be entered in any race. If your athlete cannot run the distance continuously in practice, DO NOT ENTER HIM/HER IN THE RACE.

To qualify for the district meet a competitor must have met ONE of the following conditions:

finished in the top 30 runners in their regional meet

bullet

be a member of one of the top 3 teams in their regional meet (will be eligible only if the team competes)

bullet $3.00 per participant. Invoices will be sent to the  schools, covering both the regional and district meets, after the district meet. Please wait until the invoice is received and send one cheque to cover both meets. Cheques should be made out to LESAA and sent through the courier to LESAA c/o John Hall at the board office.

Weather
Cross Country Running is traditionally run rain or shine. Rain, wind and 
heat are a few of the uncontrollable conditions that make Cross Country Running 
unique. In the event of electrical storm conditions, please check the web site first then call John Hall at
613-531-1506 if you have any questions.

COACH'S CORNER

Welcome to the Region 3 meet at Fort Henry

In order to ensure the meet is a success, there are a number of things you and your athletes need to know.

bulletCoaches packages will not be sent out.
bulletadditional course maps will be posted near the results table at the end of the finish chute
bulletPick up your runners name tags at the scorers table as soon as you arrive.
bulletEach competitor must be wearing a name tag with her/his name, school, and age grouping (i.e. atom girls), Do not pin the tag, PEEL TAG AND STICK TO ATHLETE'S SHIRT! 
bulletOrder of races - atom girls, atom boys, bantam girls, bantam boys, midget girls, midget boys
bulletThe coach is responsible for collecting finishing place cards, completing the team scoring sheet (top 4 count, with 4th runner's position to break ties), and returning it to the scorer's table located at the end of the finish chute immediately following each race
bulletindividual results will be posted as soon as possible following each race and team results announced at the end of the meet.
bulletIndividual medals to the top 3, and ribbons to places 4 through 8 in each age category, will be awarded immediately following each race as these competitors exit the finish chute. Ribbons will be awarded to the top team in each category after the meet
bulletOnly ONE team from each school is eligible for team awards.
bulletPlease ensure that your athletes remain in the grounds area and stay clear of the track and race course during each race
bulletThere is a canteen available - please ensure that your athletes put litter in its place!! -please take time to fill out the comment sheet and leave it at the scorer's table or hand it to me personally
