The Limestone Elementary School Athletics Association is the committee responsible for the
 inter-school sports programs in the Limestone   District School Board. This  page is intended
to make available to all elementary schools in the Limestone District information pertaining to
 all  inter-school sports in the district. For more information  on the organization and structure
 of LESAA please refer to the LESAA constitution.   Meet and tournament information, rules and
 regulations regarding the various events,  dates for events, news updates, district tournaments
 (divisions, dates, locations, conveners, results), as well as any other pertinent information
 for all sports will be available through this page.

bulletTraining Opportunities for elementary students from grade 5 - 8 and elementary coaches with KASSAA coaches
bulletAs part of a new track and field initiative brought to you by coaches within KASSAA (Kingston Area Secondary School Athletic Association) will be offering 5 weeks of elementary spring training clinics. Athletes and coaches alike, in the LDSB and ALCDSB, are invited to come and participate in these training clinics where we will look at proper warm-up, running technique, sprinting, middle distance, long distance, long jump, triple jump, high jump and shot put.

bulletCheques are to be sent to Karen Marr at the board office prior to the tournament or
handed in at the meet.
bullet3000m will start at 8:30 am - this means that finish line officials will have to be at the finish line at
least 15 mins prior to this time - all other events will start at 9 am.
bullet3000m is for bantams and midgets only.
bulletall events will only be called twice, for example first call for midget boys 100m then last call for midget boys 100m.  Only atoms who are missing at an event will be called individually.  Events will not be held up waiting for a participant.

bulletNOTE that there is no 4x400m relay or medley relay.

bulletIti s recognized that many schools do not have access to a track and determining comparable times is not possible. It is suggested that competitors not enter the following races if they cannot meet the following times. No walkers please:

bulletEach region is entitled to send:FIVE entrants in each INDIVIDUAL track AND field event advance from each region EXCEPT for the region that has the first meet of the year - they will send four competitors
bulletThree relay teams PER AGE CLASS in the 4 x 100m relay
bulletOnly ONE relay team from a school may advance in each age/sex region
bulletRegion 2 is responsible for adult or responsible high school student for the finish line at District
bulletMeet. There is no entry fees for the district meet.
bulletYou do not have to register your athletes for the district meet.
