New school websites launched
Posted on 06/10/2018

Schools in the Limestone District School Board now have new websites to complement the new district site launched a few weeks ago.

As part of a new electronic communications strategy, Board staff teams have spent the past year working on the new school and district websites. All of the new websites have been reorganized to make them more user-friendly.

All school websites follow a similar template so that students, families and staff moving between schools will be able to easily find information in the same location.
Although the school websites are now live, schools are still in the process of adding and updating some information, so please be patient. The sites should be fully updated for the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.

Like the district website, the school website features include accessibility requirements, Google translate (80+ languages), and improved search functions and analytics.

The new websites are part of our larger strategy to develop additional electronic tools that we hope will improve our communication with families and our broader school communities. These include:

  • An improved version of Synrevoice called Communicate that will allow the Board and schools to push important messages to students, families, and staff via voice mail, email or text message.
  • The introduction of the Safe Arrival student attendance management tool that allows for two-way communication between schools and families.
  • The introduction of a Board Mobile App for SmartPhones that will consolidate all of the Board’s electronic communication in one easy location – it will include access to Board and school websites, calendars, notifications, and other important features.

You will hear more about these new communications tools and their roll-out dates over the coming months.

We look forward to hearing your feedback on our new websites. Share your feedback.

The Limestone District School Board is situated on traditional territories of the Anishinaabe & Haudenosaunee.
