The Kingston After School ABA Program is offering free Autism Skills Groups to children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The groups will focus on teaching a variety of skills including social, communication, behaviour/emotional regulation, and activities of daily living. For example, greeting others, identifying feelings, meal preparation, accepting 'no', to name a few.

Students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, aged 3 to 21, of the Limestone District School Board and Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board are eligible to join these groups.

The groups will occur weekly and run for 6 weeks. All groups will be scheduled after regular school hours. The program will be offered at various schools across the Kingston region. Parents will be required to arrange for the student's transportation.
