Laurie French, Trustee for Greater Napanee and Vice-Chair of the Limestone District School Board, will serve another term as President of the Canadian School Boards Association.

Trustee French was re-elected as President of the CSBA for 2021-2022 at the association’s recent Annual General Meeting on October 4, 2021. This is her fourth term.

"I am so proud to serve another term in support of trustees and boards and our important work advocating for priorities that are common across the country,” stated Trustee French. "There is still much work to be done in collaboration with provincial members and partners on many issues to strengthen our communication and advocacy efforts that reflect current issues in education and the needs of children and youth into the future."

The CSBA represents Canadian provincial school boards, offering support and advocating nationally for their shared interests.

Prior to her leadership of CSBA, Trustee French served as Ontario Public School Boards’ Association President and Vice-President. Trustee French has been elected by the constituents of Greater Napanee to serve as Trustee since 1998.

The Limestone District School Board is situated on traditional territories of the Anishinaabe & Haudenosaunee.
