Welcome to Summer Session at the Limestone D.S.B.

Registration Closed - Students may contact their guidance counsellor to register for a Summer Session course in the OeLC Consortium.

Registration for L.D.S.B. Offered Summer Session courses is now closed.

Summer Session is a great option for students who wish to complete an additional credit or who may need to upgrade a mark during the summer. Courses are offered for students currently in Grades 9 to 12.

Grade 8 students may register for CHV2OV/GLC2OV only as a reach ahead to grade 10 Careers/Civics and must register for both courses if signing up for Summer Session. Grade 8 students may register through your myBlueprint account using the instructions below.

Session Dates:

The Limestone District School Board is offering virtual Summer Session from July 4th, 2022 to July 29th, 2022. Students are expected to be working on their course daily. There will be a daily synchronous component for students to check in with their teacher.

Summer Session Co-ops start on July 4, 2022 and can continue until August 12, 2022. Students taking co-op should contact their co-op teacher before registering.

Registering for a Summer Session Course:

Students can register for one e-learning summer session course (or the two Careers/Civics half courses). Registration closes on June 29, 2022 at 12:00 pm. All courses are conditional on teacher availability and sufficient enrollment. Students will be notified prior July 1, 2022 if the class is not running.

Registration for Summer Session 2022 will open on Monday April 25th, 2022 and will occur through a L.D.S.B. student's myBlueprint account, or through Prism by the student's guidance counsellor. myBlueprint instructions are located through the following link: myBlueprint Instructions.

Non-LDSB students should connect with their school's guidance staff to register for LDSB Summer Session.

Courses are offered within the Minds Online Platform:

LDSB students should begin to see their LDSB Summer Session course within Minds Online by the end of the day Saturday July 2, 2022.

Non-LDSB students will see the LDSB Summer Session course within their own school board’s D2L Brightspace environment on the same timeline. Non-LDSB students requiring technical support for accessing their own board’s learning platform will need to consult with their own board staff. LDSB staff do not have access to those environments.

Welcome Message to Summer Session Students:

All students enrolled in LDSB Summer Session will receive a welcome email by end of day Friday, July 1st, 2022. The welcome email will direct students to the “Support Hub” where they will find a 15-minute lesson on plagiarism and other supports to show them how to use the various Brightspace tools to perform various course tasks.
