LD Support Programs

Limestone Learning Foundation

The Junior Learning Disability Support Program is a short-term, intensive withdrawal program specifically designed to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities in the junior grades. These programs offer intensive instruction and interventions in literacy to promote independent learning across the curriculum for students with learning disabilities.

Students attend a Junior Learning Disability Support Program for a half-day. Programming focuses on core curriculum expectations and also alternative curriculum areas. A core focus involves preparing students for a return to full-time attendance in a regular classroom.

Learning Disability Support Program teachers also act as resources to families and educators. They offer consultative support to schools and foster strong links with the wider school community by providing a variety of direct and system supports.

The Limestone District School Board is situated on traditional territories of the Anishinaabe & Haudenosaunee.
