Parenting & Family Literacy Centres

Limestone Learning Foundation

The Limestone District School Board has operated Parenting and Family Literacy Centres in three elementary schools with the support of the Ministry of Education for the past several years. Recently, the Ministry of Education has changed the way these programs are provided.

As of July 3, 2018, the
City of Kingston will pilot the local transformation of programs for children and families, which are now grouped under the new EarlyON Child and Family Centre banner. These new EarlyON programs will be delivered by Northern Frontenac Community Services Corporation, Kingston Community Health Centres and the Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area

EarlyON offers free drop-in programs for parents and caregivers with children from birth to six years of age. You can learn and play with your child, meet people and receive parenting information.

Some locations will open this summer as well as various pop up EarlyON events throughout the City and County, with more locations coming this fall. For more information, visit the City of Kingston website.
